I use co2. 30quid deposit 20quid fill for a 3ft bottle

Ive used both gases but didn't notice much difference.

All I know is it was cheap and my details was on a post it note :lol:

My friend was quote 180 for a co2 argon mix from the same place.

Maybe he just liked my voice :lol:

I use co2 as it was recommended to me by my good friend who is a
brilliant / very experienced fabricator. As its better for shitty car metal as its hotter Weld.
But suzuki panels are very thin So can be a bit to much ffor outter
Panel work.

I think when the time comes I'm gonna get a hobbyweld Argon/CO2 bottle. Bit expensive to start with but only £30 a refill and.convenient. Especially as the stockist is also a superb motor factors!

A mate who is a pro welder rents from BOC but he says it's bloody expensive. Probably why I don't use his welding services anymore :lol:

That is just c02, you'll get much better welds with an argon mix ;)

Think the weld is 93% argon, 5%CO2, and 2% O2, from what.I've read should be ideal for body panels.

2% 02? i thought the point of using welding gas is so that there is no oxygen?!
