And a good googleing later
The 413 has a 80inch wheelbase
The lwb has a 94inch wheelbase
So a tad bit longer than the defender
I cant see 14inch makeing a huge differnce to how it is offroad

Just stick a Suzuki super carry rear bed on that and patch a few holes and it will be superb!

That's far too good to chop up! wouldn't take much to restore!
You can't say a few patches make it not worth restoring, that's not rusty..........
This is rusty!
and i'm still repairing it

Well I agree that they do overhang a bit more and on paper can belly out...BUT
I used one for two weeks in the summer both on and off road.
Here's my 2 cents - feel free to ignore!
1. I hate how they look - to me, SWB looks much nicer/better proportioned.
2. Off road, I have a little route and found I needed 4wd much later and less often than I did in SWB - in other words it was better.
3. On/off road it was a much smoother ride/more comfortable and stable.
4. FAR better at climbing rocky or bumpy hills. The longer wheel base just seems to help with traction.
5. I am told that they are also much less prone to rolling if you get them diagonal on a hill but have no experience myself.
Lastly, a friend here had a nice one - it took him ages to sell it because it was LWB = everyone wanted SWB apparently.
Hope this helps??
