Il take a pic tomoz...
Iv cut alot I guess lol I went with upper grove and cutt to suit the outer so its pritty much plum
I still have the upper bolt ther and I aint welded up the bulkhead yet as my mate is weldin up some wheels for me
I couldnt find 16" suzuki wheels with a good offset il have them tomoz im hopeing
Supose I could weld the lower nut bsck in place lol

I would just go with the flow now.

You dont need anywhere near all the standard pedal travel (atleast not for the SU anyway) so if you bolt it back on at a slight angle you will probably be able to space it off or adjust the stoppers to get it somewhere you are comfortable with and still have full throttle travel.

One thing I can promise you is you will have enough bulkhead clerance!

I think I got lucky when I did mine,done passenger side first and when I got to drivers it worked out that I had cut about half inch lower than the captive nuts

in my defence it was grinding out in the rain so was in a mad rush trying not to get electicuted wilst holding an angle grinder locked on full speed
this is what happend last time it escaped my hands lol
