Sorry no more escort bit in this thread then.

Today I crimped new terminals on the eBay Indicators, changed a couple of dead bulbs and tried to get the car as ready for an Mot as I could. Dad washed and hovered the car out while I got on with welded bits on the escort.

Took the car for a drive around the fields and over the massive mount of straw and horse muck from the stables.

Only photo of the SJ I took.

Well I drove the SJ and the brakes pulled, so I took the rear drums off to fine a seized right rear wheel cylinder. And the rear shoes are fairly worn. So a bit more to do before it goes for a Mot.

Dependant on what you're intending on doing with the SJ i would recommend carrying out a rear disc conversion, I found rear shoes & cylinders wasn't cheap (£60 with garage discount!)

Rear discs don't require continual adjustment if you go through mud/water.

Well surprisingly it went through an Mot this morning. Now I will start tidying the thing up.

It needs a steering damper as its more like sailing than driving at the moment.
Thinking I might tub the arches so I can put the axle back underneath.

At least it will be usable for the snow! :)
