Fair enough. Sounds like the caster is negative then but if it's only really an off-road toy then it's not that big of a deal.

yes, i have got another sj but it needs a body as its 1 is shot, the chassis , engine and boxes r all ok, so thats is my next project, I was thinking of a blitz body kit, or a old suzuki carry van body, any ideas?

Mate best thing is make its a buggy roll cage with the dash left in and boom a well nice buggy

The body on your red one looks good. Is the other one you've got fairly standard? If it is, I think what I'd do is a body swap and have one nice road SJ and then make a tube-bodied trailer queen out of your off-road one.

The red 1s body is fairly good, usual welding in rear corners and front footwells, rear door was welded shut by previous owner, the door looked like it had tried to tow summit, had to reverse it back into padded wall to straighten it out, to push door back straight! The arches and sills are hammerited as there is rust and flakey paint in places, no carpets and tatty seats, apart from that she's a peach lol

You don't need two SJs just enjoy it!

I would loose the shackles, they really give no benefits over standard length shackles. just lots of negatives including reduced approach and departure angles, bad caster angles and can induce more axle wrap. The longest shackles I would personally fit on an SJ with standard length springs (lifted or standard) would be 100mm bolt centre to bolt centre. lift is over-rated
Also now you have lift springs don't forget to lower your bump stops

Those look like relatively "normal" sized tyres you have on your SJ, does it need the dragon's teeth shackles? I'd have thought it would perform just lovely with standard shackles, you look a bit high to me.

I have got 2 extended bump stops still to fit, they came with the springs, the tyres fitted are 235/70/15 on standard 5.5j rims but I would like to add larger tyres, anyone know what max tyre size can fit to my rims are?
