I need to tow a 20ft caravan with a Discovery 4.

No, i'm not a gypsy....

The prospect is a little daunting. Driving a big car is a piece of piss... having 20ft lumped on behind me with its own free will.

This will probably go tits up!

My father tows our caravan at 23-24ft long with a Range rover. And he says there is nothing to worry about just thing through twice!

I'm hoping I never have to actually tow it once I learn.

My mam has been caravanning for 20 odd yrs but Dad always drove, now she's on her own, she went on a course from the caravan club to learn how to tow properly and she cracked it. I want to learn how to do it just in case I ever need it to help her.

Oooft.

In case of emergency, I think i'd rather pay for her to be low-loadered home from wherever she is :hahaha:

I find its best not to over think with trailers, cos its only when you do think things through it goes tits up. Especially with dolly trailers! Easiest thing is to just load up and drive!
