Right oy cheers for the help! She has fired up this evening once... I have spark, ign, fuel up the carb... When I turn the engine over by hand then try and start it she goes first time so I think its possible a worn fly wheel? Maybe :er:

hmmmm, i wouldn't think so if its turning over as normal. ok so back to basics with the rule of kiss (keep it simple stupid) its a handy rule for me.

so spark.. check
fuel... check
air... check?

contacts and rotor arm/ cap all clean and ok?

haha kiss works for me aswell! but not this time. Yes right turning it over normal just sounds like its trying to turn over the engine but its not(starter motor is engaging though) . Turn the engine 1 turn over by hand and it will fire up with the starter motor like normal and then when you turn off the engine you have to repeat the above...

I think when it fired up this evening i was just lucky!

and Yeah checked all what everyone has said :)

Starter out. Bench test it.

Are all the wires running to the starter ok?
