Just given me an idea! the original block that bolts to the steering box,cut it off so your left with the tab with the 2 holes in it then cut the uj off the vitara steering column dress it flat and get the tab welded to it it should end up looking like the one in the pic on that website! i hope lol

Mine has a rubber bush between the two and the pump side is offset so it doesnt catch will ad a pik tomox

With the range of movement the pitman arm has and with this style steering set up you don't really have to worry about tilting the box slightly so that they line up, it really won't make any difference, I've had mine like this for years with no issues and my SJ sees 70mph on a regular basis.
Some solid axle vehicles steering boxes are mounted at quite extreme angles from the factory.
Here's a few pics of mine, the shaft the pitman arm is mounted to is 90degrees to the chassis

Wish i had worked out my own wedge now to be honest but i thought it easier to make my own uj instead of faffing around with my wedge now!

Just hope your MOT tester doesn't notice as technically they are not supposed to pass welded steering components.
From MOT manual with regards to steering components.

Correct, Technically I think you are allowed to make stuff from scratch but not modify existing parts.
