Ok I shall find another gauge Im sure work has one.
I checked 1 plug at a time with other 3 in is that wrong ????

It should be all plugs out and throttle open. The cranking speed is higher then.
I'm afraid it won't make yours much higher though.
I'm going for slack valve guides, causing poor markings when lapping. (Unless your gauge is shot).

Ok so I have done as per instruction as its pretty much the same so highest I got is 30 psi so I must have a major problem

If you squirt oil into the bores and the pressure goes up, that indicates worn bores and rings. If it stays the same, it's usually the head. Probably the valves.
Looks like you might need to do them again.

Are you sure that you have the valve timing correct?
