Hammer wasn't doing anything.

I'll have a mess about with it tomorrow. Failing that i'll get a splitter to do it.

I'm pretty sure I took the turret nut thing off, put a regular nut on it, then used a big metal pole from the top through the engine bay. Whacked it with le sledgehammer until it came loose, then took the nut off and removed...

A good squirt of wd40 and using 2 hammers hit on either side of the arm where the bolt goes through. That should be enough to shift it.

Mine came about with Ferris's method and thats the method I always use if not I use Wills method and it works second time! :)

I bought a ball joint splitter. Only £10 and did the job no fuss.
