Why bother taking the box section out ?? Don't really see the point it's not a lot higher.

Can you not take the runners off the new seats and bolt the SJ runners to them? That what I did with my bucket seats, just had to drill a hole in each side of the set frame to bolt the runner on

There's a simple solution to your issue. I'm afraid the answer is if you can weld its an easy fix, if you can't it's hard. The drivers side I found easy on mine cos I just welded on some right angled cleats that picked up on the original mounting holes at the front. The back of the drivers seat was a bit more tricky but again I managed to fabricate some mounting and welded em on to pick up on the existing mounts. From what I can remember it was the passanger one that was s**t because it didn't have the box section, but again the welder came into play. Like I've said my seats was scooby wrx seats that I kept the the standard scooby runners on and they fitted in a treat. In fact I have more movement front and back on the runners on these seats than was on the standard Sj seats. I know this because mines a tin top and my kids often come off roading and with the standard Sj seats it was a struggle for them to climb in the back when fully tilted forward. Now there's loads more room when the scooby seats are tilted.
