right then i decided to do another compression test and all is good so i then decided to pull the rocker cover and check the stem seals where i found that 2 of the cross head screws that fasten into the rocker shafts were missing and all the rest were loose! i found the missing screws in the oil all chewed up and so were replaced with new. These screws were missing from the cylinder in which i have been getting an oiled up plug so could this be coincidence or is this my problem? what do these screws actually do?
