Hmmm, what is this black rat i hear of?
Have to look into that. Being honest i'll drink most things. I do like a good scrumpy. Strange that the cider got such a good response for 3 lads from sussex, wilts and dorset.
Maybe we could combine this post with my SCUK meet post. Should probably start a barbecue post too.

Black rat is the best damn cider you'll ever drink lol they do a draught and scrumpy, they are both good but I prefer the scrumpy! Ill bring a few litres if we have a meet! I'll get some prices from various sites, oh wait I should be writing that in the other thread

The off license round the corner dose some very nice different cider in the summer, you just fill up a 2 litre plastic jug pay your money and walk home looking like some alki tramp

Again, not to be stereotypical. But that has to be a Dorset thing.
I always remember going to a cider farm a few years back, they sold home made scrumpy in 5lts. The same kind of bottles you buy antifreeze or screenwash in. The only difference between the two (looks wise not taste) was the label.
Taste wise it was superb. Didn't have the afterburn of car bodily fluids.

I suppose the brown paper bag must be popular there too then?
As least you still have a drinks industry. Ours has all been taken over by the multi nationals. Then closed.
Although we do still have the small cameron brewery at hartlepool.
