not long back from working on my sj.
got brakes set up to the towbar on A-frame
i was thinking today about "keep the goodun good" idea, so i decide to patch the rust patches. no point in traybacking it just for the craic.
so i cut out the rot inside all 4 arches, and welded in some 2mm steel
cut section out in the passenger footwell, above body mount, and welded in a patch.

then i got the surprise of my life, the rusted bit in the boot floor, well it wasn't rust, someone had sprayed it with thick brown paint, and had left a few runs in that corner, so result.
this means i have to reconsider my plans, i will be fixing sills, instead of replacing with box section.

i'm a tool, i forgot pics, sorry :rhinohump:

looking good for me picking up a rolling 413 chassis and engine+box+tbox, plus 410 engine+box+tbox, few axles.
just as long as the price is right. only time will tell

no matter how far along the build path you buy a yoke, its always at base level for you, so always you spend lots of money doing your own way, well thats how i see it.

picked up a winch today, not a super duper spec, but will do well, its a champion, cta 12000lb, with wireless remote and wander lead. its as slow as a snail, but it was cheap.
promise i'll post pics tomorrow of winch, A-frame, and few other bits and pieces

just realised that i haven't up dated you good folk in a while, reason being, i haven't done anything much to it in a while. been driving it around in 2wd, front window laying flat, using it as a mobile rabbit lamping/shooting rig. thats right, turnip munching rabbits are putting a stall on my zook project, that and still not having collected my spare rolling chassis(running) which has now become the base for my project.
