here you can see how i have cut down the lock mechanism
and I am going to have a large grommet in the top cover so you can push down on this to open the door, you could actually modify it so that it has the locking pin on it or something if you want??? It would be really simple to do however I decided against it as knowing me i'd rest my elbow on it and open the door while driving along
