Progress report.
Things are going steadily and it's such a pleasant feeling as reconditioned parts are fitted back onto the chassis and engine. Plus, it's nice not to be tripping over boxes which contained all those parts!
I fully stripped and refurbished both front brake calipers, which was helped by using a homemade sand blasting cabinet (youtube is really useful for ideas). Refitting the new brake pistons was tricky at first as they appeared too big (51mm dia) to fit into the caliper body? Much pondering led me to realise that there was a crusty build up of rust around where the old dust seals had been. Careful use of a brass wire wheel soon had the issue resolved.
I'm also thankful for the decent warm weather which certainly helps with spending time with the SJ.
