Yes noticed that, my son bought it blind really from a bloke from kent only seen a couple of pics , told him it was ready for MOT, ect ect but when it was delivered it was a right dog, he wouldn't answer the phone once he was paid, just a pity he wasn't closer or we would have took it back, anyway we have replaced all discs and pads, new exhaust, welded holes in the floors, done all wiring as nothing worked, cleaned carb as it was running really rough, actually starting to look pretty decent now.

Re: Shackles
Yeah, they look like bog standard replacements.
Coming from India so possibly genuine maruti / suzuki.
Don’t be put off buying parts from indian suppliers. Marutis are still built there and parts are plentiful. Usually worth the wait, quite a few of us have ordered from India over the years.

Thanks Mate, Was wondering about ordering from there but a lot of parts are really hard to get in the UK, when I first started on this I thought they would be readily available like Land Rover parts but now I know.Jordi wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 9:37 pmYeah, they look like bog standard replacements.

They have the correct speedo cable I need to so will give them a go,
Cheers.
Re: Shackles
I order a lot of parts from India. Delivery is often faster than you would expect. Some suppliers do use DHL to ship, if they do then you will have to pay a bit of import duty. Never had to pay duty when they have used other couriers though.
Re: Shackles
Got my shackles today, gonna fit them and give it a run round the block on Saturday, see if they make a difference.
Re: Shackles
Took it for a good run out today, A lot better with these standard shackles on, steering ect.
Not the fastest of things but engine seems OK no water or oil leaks anywhere.
Definitely got 5 Gears not that Ill be using 5th much though.
There is a knock on the back when hitting a bump or pothole, so not sure what that is yet.

Just made the custom one. Look better (for me)
It has 10cm space between top and bottom hole. Not sure about the stock one, i think the stock one has 6cm space
