Anybody carry a manual winch with them?
I used to, handy bit of kit but you need quite a few straps to make up length sometimes and might have to re-rig halfway through recovery.
Tbh if i'm out laning solo nowadays I only drive things I know I'll be fine through on my own, I know nearly all the lanes within 20 miles of home and there's not many that I might get get stuck down on the 33s

haha, last time I went laning with you guys the only fucking bit I got stuck on was a lump! Other than that it was plain sailing, or HT's too!

I do seem to remember you getting towed through a little bit of water

Over the bonnet yeah, without a snorkel haha! I have proof it was deep, and would have stopped a land rover haha!

I take a spare airfilter, as they tend to sacrifice themselves when going through Mud/Water. Other than that no spares!

Must be just your driving
I've had the same filter for ages

Every time this comes up why does it always take so long for someone to say FIRE EXTINGUISHER!! Nothing worse than standing miles from anywhere watching your pride and joy burn. Especially if a friend or family member was trapped inside!!
Apart from that I generally travel light.
Mostly knocking around the glove box:
Reversible flathead/Phillips screwdriver
12mm spanner
Adjustable spanner
Elec tape
Few cable ties
1 half worn old brake pad incase one escapes
Rear prop that cable ties perfectly under front of drivers seat
Mostly knocking around in the rear bed:
10m 5t strop
2 big d-shackles
A battered old tin of WD40

Nice one Dan, all my zooks have a fire extinguisher (first thing I fit to them).
Also...if you are planning on leaving your tools in the car when you are away, make sure the box bolts to the floor and that it's lockable.
Also also...never a good idea to do serious laning on your own, with all the tools in the world if you get stuck in deep gunge you'll need another vehicle for recovery.
...and that brings me back to the AA card
