Glad you got it back, seriously crap to have it taken and damaged though! Here's hoping that you are sorted soon and it doesn't cost you much.

A big thanks for all your support guys, I appreciate it

To all who have offered to source parts for me, also thank-you  I'll be accessing what I can afford and what and where to buy from, over the weekend.

Yes I'm happy it's back in one piece, also glad it wasn't written off as (and not sure if it would've been transferable?) but the reg, E660 MEL has sentimental value too, as Melody is my daughters name.

Finally, to keep things in perspective, I saw my police SOCO guy on the news yesterday, as he'd dropped in to me first on his way thru to the Colchester dog/baby death.

What a fucker, going back a while ago someone tried to steal my 1.8 Corsa, must of been someone who'd either read about the car on the net, or someone closer to home, as you wouldn't know it was a 1.8

I keep a "baseball bat" steering wheel lock on the Jimny at all times, being a softtop gives it no protection at all!

SJ410 Van Is Stolen & Then Recovered With Damage Small Updat

SMALL UPDATE:
Recap, my van was stolen/recovered 10 days ago and even tho' fully comp,
decided it'll be cheaper/more convenient if I carry out the repairs myself.

Very lucky to have it back in such good shape, double checked everything, and did just lose a tow rope.

Now that my place has just been sold STC, I can now transfer a load of clutter back indoors and free up the garage to park up overnight again.

So, cleaned out van and removed damaged parts, spent half a day online sourcing the best match correct parts from around the world.
Don't fancy separate keys, so going to need full ignition and key set (Ignition barrel, glove box and 3 x doors) plus a
glove box lid, steering wheel surround housing and possibly new passenger grab/assistance bar.

Yes! compared to you lot, I'm an old git :D

Whilst waiting for all the stuff to arrive, I fitted a temporary £7 universal ignition switch.

Also managed to bend back the grab rail back, reasonably straight.

Man that sucks.

Glad you got it back easily and in a repairable state though.

Like others have said it's a shame we have to but looks like time for you to up the security.

Great work bending back the grab rail, it doesn't even look like it was damaged at all, I'm glad your getting on top of it and your not letting things like this get you down, I'm glad your opting for the same key for everything, I have a few keys on my key ring and couldn't tell you which was which! I like your overalls, Suzuki through and through, The overalls I have are from when I was apprentice I was about half the girth and foot shorter!
