Steering wheel shake
Re: Steering wheel shake
Not done anything about this steering wheel shake yet, mainly as I've done me back in! Just wondering though, if there's only a tiny bit of play in the kingpins, can I just remove shims - assuming there are some in there - and if so, is it just a case of removing the 4 bolts top and bottom and taking them out or do I still need to strip anything down? Sorry for my ignorance! I do have a Haynes somewhere too but buggered if I can find it...

Re: Steering wheel shake
Yeah you can remove the shims that easily. Apart from the top ones you will need to remove the brake caliper and possibly the caliper mount too... only 2 or 4 bolts though

you can remove both top and bottom kingpins without even taking the wheel off
