Popped up for an hour the other night and well.......decided it would be easier to remove the rear section of the floor to repair it
The back end is where all the major rot is so this will make it all a bit easier to repair. the small patch on the left will be cut back out and I'll make a full length strip out of some 3mm to replace the whole lot with, will be better and quicker than replicating how this section is built in the factory.
There are a lot of moisture traps on SJ bodies and my plan is to get rid of as many of them as possible

How have I just seen the LWB Trailer ?
You know you have to post that on the US forums. You might get some hate mail, but it has to be done.
They're like hens teeth over here.
I have one in a container at the moment (along with my a LJ160, 2 KJA cabs & beds) somewhere out in the Atlantic.... hopefully still on a ship

2 weekends & no update. Tisk tisk.
Just pondering...... How long is the rear prop in your SJ with the doubler ? (In my Doubled Vitara it's 25.75" which is 6.75" less than stock... It looks short despite being over 2'.
Wouldn't this LWB be a better platform for the doubler ? You'd still have a rear prop!!!
Interested to see how you're going to protect the rear overhang especially the underside of the corners and still make it look cool without compromising departure angle. Keep the stock lights ?

I've been on holiday
The rear prop is stock length in the swb with the doubler. The tbox sits in the stock location.
The Lwb will be getting tube bumpers bent up for the front at rear out of 44.45x3.2mm tube.

My gasp is flabbered ! Wow, that Intermediate Shaft really stretches things out under there.
How is it not a more popular mod ? Its not that much more than crawler gears & you get the flexibility !!!

Got a few hours in this eve.
Removed the last arch mount that needs to come off, need to fix my generator before I start chopping more rust out and welding it up.
Also spent a few hours removing decals! Man I hate that job
These ones took ages to get off.
Will fix my generator and go buy some steel over the next few days to repair the boot floor and then I can make a start on the VL before lifting the body off.
