@Tramp and Anton, thanks guys for your input and thoughts, that is exactly the way my mind was thinking, its ultra reliable and when i lay the cards on the table in terms of how much i use it and what the cost and unknown of another 'same' vehicle then i could be in the same boat next year.

So it will be going back in again monday to have the work done for the MOT,its not a case that i cannot afford it,but one has too step back and look and see if one is throwing good money away, the cards do stack up in favour of getting it repaired.

It should only take the one day to do the work, and normal service will then be resumed for another 12 months, cheap motoring.

Welding was completed today,it was not as major as we had 1st thought it was going too be,hardest bit was actually finding a way to get the bumper off,but we did at last get it off without butchering it.

Exhaust and 2 rear tyres have been ordered over night and if fitted tomorrow i should get my ticket or certainly by monday morning, must admit i was starting to get worried if it was worth getting it repaired or not but it wont cost as much as i had thought.

Will update when its passed but most of the hard work is behind its just the tyres and exhaust.

Vitara has passed it MOT for another 12 months, well pleased,2 new tyres on the rear, complete rear exhaust behind the CAT and the welding, the exhaust pipe is massive size wise but i guess that is because its a V6,but it purrs along like a goodun.
