Well, unfortunately I was correct.. Just kept sliding the propshaft until the oil seal popped out. Doesn't look as if it has done much damage to the casing, but difficult to tell until I try a new bush in it. Propshaft is fine.

Glad you got it sorted. Not seen that before. Wasn't even aware there was a bush in there to be honest.
