Would like to know where my "Old Yeller" is.
It went to Dover (Leigh Catherick has a bunch and so do some of his Raging Rhinos gang)
Then it apparently went down to the South West.

Reg: OLT 498W

It was widened
It had a front winch cradle welded on with bolt-on outer front corner bumpers.
PAS with Crossover front steering links that were quite unique.
Front Shackle reversal welded on with missing kinks at the back of the front springs.
Revolver shackles on the rear leaves.
I really hope nobody broke it for the bolt-on parts because the chassis was trick.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to find out the current registered keeper but I think the DVLA charge a fee for the service.

I think they'll give you quite a lot of info for free online if you have the V5 number. Previous MOT's, previous tax status etc etc - not sure if that includes keepers. But if you have the V5, you probably don't need to know who the current owner is...

Hello from sunny Cyprus, We have a few LJ on the island, I know of 6 on the road, 2 more getting rebuilt and back on the road fairly soon. There are others about the place, hidden in sheds and standing out in the fields but finding out who owns them and then buying at a fair price can be somewhat of a problem. Doing a restoration can work out expensive in Cyprus. Most bits, fittings etc I have found in Germany for reasonable prices but the postage has hurt. Hopefully my little beast will get some use this summer

This is a really sad thread... With so few cars left we will all struggle to find bits and pieces we need.

I am struggling with crappy seats and with my current classic car status here in Germany I am not allowed (!) to change to any other type without loosing the classic car status. Not sure what to do about it other then try to find an upholsterer to take them on as some sort of challenge.

I guess what we are learning from these threads is that it may well be worth making these types of heavy investments in the cars.

But what happens when more serious parts start to become impossible to find?

So we have: 22 in the UK, 166 in Germany, 6 in Cyprus and an unknown number in Holland. Does anyone know where else these cars were sold? I know Australia has a large number of them, but that sure is a long way to go to order spares.

most mechanical parts aren't that hard to find....I have a lot of spares because the rest of the Lj falls apart around them while a lot of the mechanicals are still fine.
