D flex shackles are supposed to point back under the zuke! the shackles in the pic look like a poor attempt a missing links!
here's a link with a bit of info! it is about doing a RUF concersion but you'll get the idea!

i always thought that! i think they really need to be taken off and binned, suzukis are unstable enough on the road as is and with d flex shackles im sure sjs can be down right dangerous

He either used to own or still owns LowDownDirty (Featured in Total Offroad)
He's knows quite a bit on suspensions.

nice pic but mine seem to lie flat along the leafspring
