Robbie, you know that you never have as much fun it that compared to an SJ.

We wont hold it against you for having that.
Im sure you have taken that stupid sticker off the back door. If you haven't shame on you.

Personally I like Isuzu, Subaru, Mitsubishi 4x4's as well.
Since you got it cheap, and you know the motor , then use it and abuse it on road.

Week one of disco ownership, its well comfy, after the old SJ with the buckets its like arm chairs. Engine breaking is amazing, but not exciting like the SJ was going down hill on local lanes, no more frantic pedel pumping. Its good on fuel for its age and mileage and pulls like a train.
We have just moved and with the rear seats folded up its got loads of space in the back for boxes.
A couple problems, the doors don't open very easy, the passenger door doesn't want to open from inside so quite often you have to dukes of hazard it  and I had to pull the door card off the rear door one morning as it didn't want to open at all. This morning I had to get the starter motor out as all it would do was click, wasn't that hard a job and I think I might put a relay in like I had in the SJ, anyone got a diagram?
All said its not a bad motor, quite happy with it and the Mrs is happy and has no complaits , so going to stick with it and see what happens when the mot runs out in October.
Would still rather have an SJ but oh well

glad you are getting on with the disco mate. the doors sticking is quite common (my dads does it constantly) but they aren't too hard to fix.

where abouts did you move too dude? hope it all went well
