Nothing sad about that at all. My stepdad's 3.9 Discovery failed an MOT ages ago due to rear end rot, and it's been sitting on the drive since. He starts it up every weekend, and just listens to it. It keeps his self esteem up, and keeps the truck working properly. He's attatched to that truck like I am to mine, even though I've not had mine as long abviously. He's gonna pay the £2000 plus to get his restored rather than buy another with lower mileage. (His is coming up on a quater million.)

It's a loyalty thing. You wouldn't shoot your dog because it needed an operation. (Sorry, best metaphor I could think of.)
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Dont think the forum was designed for my rants but more rather depressing news. All signs point to not being home all wkend.

So along with having bumpers to make. Holes to weld. Brakes to fit.

Also skirting. Architrave. Dado. Tiling. Painting. Papering. A leaky central heating pipe.

I seem to hav lots of stuff to do. Still theres always nxt wkend.

The joys of truck driving. All i can say is if im not gona be home there better be cold beer available!

I suppose if your working your earning, and maybe that means instead of making a bumper you could buy one instead, I know it isn't as much fun but at least you will keep on track,
