I think your right Scottie. I'm sure they are steering arm, tubey things.
I got these as expected.

Yup those are steering bars how on earth do you mistake halfshafts for steering links????

For an offroad only low speed vehicle maybe, the Tre's have different tapers to suzuki Tre's and this results in barely any surface contact. I would not advise it on any road going SJ!

Rich (Rockwatt) was able to reverse the tapered hole for me, and size it correctly for a Suk joint.

Am I imagining this or have you turned the knuckles so that the tie rod is behind the axle??? If that's a samurai axle with sj knuckles that will give you reverse Ackerman and cause a lot of tyre scrub while turning, but I guess you know that Matt so I presume it's another set up?
I'm confused? What's the high pinion front diff from a jimny?? More pics and a walk through your set up please Matt

It might just be the diff's upside down! That will be fun when try to drive.

Sorry to disappoint, but its really nothing clever! The whole axle is Jimny. Diff is high pinion due to the tie rod being located behind the axle. Rear Jimny axle is very much the same as a Sami, although 55mm wider.

Cheers Scott. It works well, I probably wouldn't recommend it though unless you can pick up a pair of axles at a very good price (like I did haha) Quite a bit more effort involved compared to a Sami axle swap on a 410.ScottieJ wrote:Ah that was the other thing I was thinking interesting swap.
