My battery flattens overnight if left connected. I have worked around this by isolating it but I want to find the problem obviously, any ideas on where to start looking.
I'm sure something must be going to earth somewhere but what would drain it overnight if it starts and runs okay, alternator charges it and it can drive for over two and a half hours without any problem.
I'm just being lazy by writing this because it could probably be anything in a vehicle this old.

I can only suggest putting an amp meter in line and seeing what current is being drawn.
Then removing fuses until the circuit with the problem can be identified.
Then investigating what's on that circuit that can cause this.
What age is your 410 as the early model has a different set-up/loom.

It's a 1988 model soft-top.
I don't have a garage so any work I do is on the driveway. Weather has not been great recently so I asked first.
Are the only fuses under passenger side of the dashboard (except the bigun by the battery)?

I *think* that the Spanish SJ's have a daytime running light thingy in the passenger footwell that sucks down about an amp continuously, whilst doing nothing worthwhile.
I say I think because this is from memory - I have a Jap SJ. Twiss was telling me about it.
If I remember correctly, you just unplug the thing? Twiss will know more.
If you've got a Jap SJ, then ignore me.

It has a 'santana' badge on the grill so I'm going to guess it's spanish.
I'll have to look further into that because I didn't see any lights in the footwells.
Cheers.

It's not a light you're looking for, it's called a "dimdip" unit, I believe, and controls your headlights. Makes them work in a funny way required by Spanish law, and sucks down an amp of power when doing nothing at all.
I believe the done thing is to just disconnect it.

Yep, a little black box. Unplug it.
If it ticks over...leave it
