vit 1.6 8v into a JAP 410 wiring

Coil/Dizzy

from loom the Black/White tracer goes to coil +
rev counter if you have one goes to coil-
from dizzy Black/White tracer goes to coil+
from dizzy Brown/White tracer goes to coil-
Brown and Black/Green tracer from loom doesn't need to connect to anything at this end.

Fuel stop solenoid
Usually a green connector on the carb but sometimes brown (There is also a idle up connector but this is not nneded, if the fuel stop connector is green this will be brown and vice versa)

Find a ignition live (black w/white tracer) and connect it to the black w/white tracer wire from the stop solenoid.
Then just earth the back wire.

I think the main long part of it is fabricating new mounts for the engine and gearbox...
It's much easier doing it to the 1.3 SJ/Samurai

If you get all the bits needed I think you could do the conversion in a day, it's not really that hard.

The fuel stop solenoid not being wired up is what is causing it to stall at idle, find a black w/white tracer to wire up the stop solenoid and just earth the black. (now added to the first post)

The other (brown) connector is part of the idle up system and not needed.

Can anyone tell me what connector block/colour wires go to the ignition barrel please. At the moment I am turning it over by bypassing, using a bit of wire on the starter terminals which I don't really want to keep doing. Many thanks, Eddie :D
