My First Green Laner :)

Post by mjm8292 » Wed Oct 08, 2014 1:03 pm

Hi Everyone :)

I've just gotten my first modified green laner (and am very excited!). It's a 1998 2.0 V6 Vitara with the back cut off and an interesting paint job! I'm looking to stick some off-road tyres on, refurbish and put on a bull bar I've gotten hold of, and get a diff guard on as I'm hoping to see how we go laning with no lift. I'll attach a photo of it at present... hopefully it'll be looking a little more rugged soon! :D

Welcome.

Sure it will go well with some decent tyres on it.

If you ever decided to get rid of those wheels and tyres i would be be very interested in them, subject to the price being right that is.

Thanks dan_2k_uk :)

RickUK,

I'm keeping the wheels for now I'm afraid, and the tyres aren't in good condition anyway really. But I'll let you know if that changes!

:welcome: to the club.

At first glance i thought it was just your usual camo paint job. Just noticed its been done with lots of bird stencils

Hi, welcome. Interesting paint job! :D
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Welcome! im not sure if i like the paint job or not :hmm:

Would been better over black paint instead of just over the red and gold two tone

Thanks for the welcomes guys :-)

Interesting paint job indeed! My Grandad is a rather creative professional sprayer and was let loose with this one... You're right Ferris, it's all duck stencils! I believe he took his inspiration from a tv show called 'Duck Dynasty' (I've not heard of it either) :P But the truck is now affectionately named Duck. As this was a good condition vehicle though I wasn't looking for a full respray... or 'duckoflage' for that matter, but I love it's quirkiness now :D
