John's samurai code named rusty as ****

Post by ScottieJ » Wed Sep 03, 2014 9:58 pm

Thought I'd start a little build thread for John's Sj (12callum)

So this is what we have started with

And then we went on the hunt for rust

Then I started repairing it

90x90x3.6mm box section sills
Image

The box section is tied into the body mounts with 4mm plate and all the holes filled in

At this point I was going to try and re-use the panel that I removed but it would have needed so much patching I thought I'd just start from scratch

And now it's time to start the virtual lift and bulkhead.

And that's where 38hrs work gets you

Will carry on with the updates as I progress

Cheers matey :doublethumbs:

Think johns plan is a 1.6 8v spi, YJs spua, he just bought a trail tough YJ kit and has the springs already...and 33s

Should be a good little SJ once it's finished.
