Two reasons for joining:

1. While clearing my mother's house I came across her SJ410 in a garage. 1984 blue estate with 40 odd thousand miles on the clock. We managed to get it running in half an hour, not bad after 15-20 years standing. So I've ordered a fuel tank, ignition and wheels/tyres.

I'm looking for seats I assume a bench for the back, no doubt there'll be a much longer list as we start to put it back together!

2. I had an SJ413 20odd years ago and wondered if it was still about? It was a gun metal grey soft top with a hardtop aswell reg C200 CKO, last seen in the Newport Pagnell area.

Cheers and look forward to using the forum.

Malcolm

Welcome to the site, it doesn't look good for your old 413

Last taxes/sorned 1999 so definitely not on the road,

It's great to hear about your mums 410, a great find, will it take much to get back on the road? Have you checked for rust? If it's been garaged all it's life it should be pretty good but Suzukis of this age are pretty prone to rotting, I'm looking forward to you posting pictures, if it's 1984 I'm guessing it will be a Japanese 410 with a metal dash, these are certainly getting thin on the ground!

:welcome: to the forum matey!

Sounds like you have found a little gem! Sounds quite lucky that it wasn't seized after standing for so long as well. Looking forward to seeing some pictures, there's a nice helpful bunch on here so if you need any advice it's the place to be.

Bench seats pop up for sale every now and again.

Cheers chaps, sad news for 'Psycho'...will now try to check some other old cars/bikes!!

Only got 1 photo of the 410, will try to dig it out, haven't actually seen it for 3 years as it went into storage but hope to get it ready for a Northumbrian winter.

From what I remember only 1 hole above the screen but maybe I didn't look that closely!

So last tax expired 1st March 1988! 4 1/2 years use and my mum only used it for a year...but she may not have bothered taxing it.

Registered 02/09/1983 SJ4 10VW?

...oh and all my old cars/bike, that I can remember the registrations , have all disappeared.

Sounds like a great little project.

Would guess from the model identifier its some kind of van style. Probably has the vinyl floor mats father than carpet?
