Full beam indicator light always on

Post by timwilks13 » Fri May 02, 2014 2:54 pm

I have aquired a new little electric bellend in the form of, with all ignition off, lights off, everything, the full beam indicator stays on, if i turn the lights and ignition on, the light stays on, the only way to turn it off is to actually put the full beams on. Now i know what everyone is going to say....."CHECK YOUR EARTHS" that was the first thing i did, i checked the earths, all of them, and the light is still on, if anyone says check the earths, i will hunt you down and rip all your earths off. Has anyone got any clues what else it could be.

It might help if i make one small confession...

Forgive me father for i have sinned, the problem may have started when i did some welding on the rear of the truck having not disconnected the battery. I know thats a cardinal sin, but what exactly could i have destroyed?

Tonight the high beam light has decided to not show at all, and yes interior light has gone out, door switch has never worked. Have spots but they're off the 12v with a separate switch.

right had a proper look at this last night as things are getting worse. i have now replaced all blown fuses so everything is working, but not when they should.

Full beam indicator light always on, except when im on full beam, when the light goes off.
The fog light works and the fog indicator light comes on, but only with the head lights off. If the head lights are on the fog light wont work.
Interior light has gone off entirely, despite the bulb being fine and the fuse being fine.
Having the fog lamp on makes the high beam indicator go out, which then comes back on when the lights are turned on, because the fog lamp goes out.

Your problem lies in somewhere between the fog light switch (poss light), interior light and horn.

The white wire from the fuse box powers all 3 of those and then feeds into the clocks, when the fuse blows for this feed it causes all kinds of electrical chaos for some reason

Should be a 10A fuse :doublethumbs:

Also check all the earths for each of the above.
