Grand vitara central locking advice.
Grand vitara central locking advice.
Hi,
I am going to fit a alarm module so when I press the alarm fob it will also lock the doors , also same for unlock. I need to connect some wires to the central locking lock/close & unlock/open wires currently on the vehicle.
Can somebody supply a screen shot of the wiring or advise which coloured wire are the lock/unlock so I can make the correct connection.
Grand vitara 54 plate.
Thanks.

Thanks for that.
I will be making the connection within the drivers door so I assume J10 is my connection.
Do you know which coloured wires refer to close/lock and open/unlock ?

I'll be honest and say I'm not sure how the alarm will need to be wired. I would assume the connection would have to be on the switch (that the key would activate if used) rather than the motor itself.
The 2 wires to the motor will switch polarity depending on opening or locking.
I assume the green wire goes to earth when its locked or unlocked (don't know which) and don't know if this switch is also activated by the motor when using the remote.

Re: Grand vitara central locking advice.
Currently locking car with 2 button key then pressing button on remote alarm fob to set alarm.
I am going to lock/unlock doors and arm/disarm alarm by just pressing the button on the alarm fob.
This is why I need the colours for lock and unlock.
I suppose the worst that could happen is when I unlock the doors the alarm will be armed so I just need to swap my two wires around.

Does yours have the double button press to unlock all doors?
I've been looking at a remote locking kit for mine but I've read that some people have fitted a kit and it only unlocks the drivers door...

Hi,
Would you also have a screen shot of the wiring for the electric window & door lock/unlock switch which is on the drivers door card.

Thanks.

Re: Grand vitara central locking advice.
Sorry, didn't notice 2 pages for the central locking when I posted before.
4 Screen shots , cropped & joined best I can. Hopefully you can work out where to connect.
I also removed most of the foreign language just to make it a little easier to read.
As said before though, the first signal for unlock only works on the drivers door, not sure how you can get around this. Having said that you only have to press the door card switch to unlock the other doors.
Do you still want the windows circuit?
