So angry!!!!

Post by Jordi » Sat Apr 12, 2014 2:28 pm

I was having a bad day as the KJA wouldn't run. Eventually got it going and popped out for some bits and decided to drop a 33" tyre in and get it taken off the rim as it was leaking round the bead.

The tyre fitter only took a chunk the size of my thumb out of the side wall!!!

No arguments, there is a chunk out of the tyre, a scuff leading to it and a nice graze around.the alloy rim!

They are supposedly sourcing me a new one.

To say my piss is boiling is an understatement

How the hell did they manage that?
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

If they can do that to a big chunky 4x4 tyre, what are they like with high performance tyres?!?

Well bubbling in the trouser department!

I am super pissed off with it!

I just hope they don't try and worm their way out of replacing it.

Bummer Jordi...they have to replace it, and maybe the wheel too if it's badly damaged.
If it ticks over...leave it

Wheel should be fine just a surface scrape, tyres is shagged. I went light with them, pissed me off more that he never actually acknowledged it was their cock up, just said he'd source me a new tyre.

Nightmare!!! if they get you a new one make sure you keep the one they fucked! As long as it hasn't torn the plies then you can get the sidewall vulcanised and keep it for a matching spare. usually for around £25.

I can understand how pissed of you are about it.
Long time ago, I was giving out to the staff at a Suzuki garage in south London about their appalling work and attitude.
They were lucky that I didn't go mental.
Never went there again, I believe it shut down soon after.

Don't let them get away from getting you a new tyre.
