I was having a bad day as the KJA wouldn't run. Eventually got it going and popped out for some bits and decided to drop a 33" tyre in and get it taken off the rim as it was leaking round the bead.
The tyre fitter only took a chunk the size of my thumb out of the side wall!!!
No arguments, there is a chunk out of the tyre, a scuff leading to it and a nice graze around.the alloy rim!
They are supposedly sourcing me a new one.
To say my piss is boiling is an understatement

Wheel should be fine just a surface scrape, tyres is shagged. Nightmare!!! if they get you a new one make sure you keep the one they fucked! As long as it hasn't torn the plies then you can get the sidewall vulcanised and keep it for a matching spare. usually for around £25.

Long time ago, I was giving out to the staff at a Suzuki garage in south London about their appalling work and attitude.
They were lucky that I didn't go mental.
Never went there again, I believe it shut down soon after.
Don't let them get away from getting you a new tyre.
