Ah, ok - yes, sorry.
So if you get trailing arms that are matched to your leaf springs (same length from eye to eye as the spring is from rear eye to the edge of the perch) *and* a bam bar, then the compression forces of the spring would be forced down the trailing arm and the bam bar, stopping the spring from being compressed.
You'd have to mount the trailing arms paralell to the springs, on the inside of the chassis.
Theoretically, that won't damage your articulation, especially if you use rose joints rather than bushes.

Leaf springs compress to much for a trailing arm.

Right, before I start a new job if I can find one, I am going to make my front springs have military wrap, but backwards. Hopefully stop the springs fucking up any more.
And Tempory cage beefing up, is very much needed. Can't afford a new one yet !!
