M.O.T!!

Post by suzukisteve » Thu Feb 27, 2014 10:20 am

Had my mot yesterday, and it passed thankfully. but only just, got a nice list of advisories to be getting on with.

brakes need adjustment - no problem.

steering damper rubber bush almost fucked - no problem.

front wheel bearing needs adjustment - no problem.

the problem is with the springs. they are beginning to bend the wrong way round. I dont overly want to use add a leaf but im pretty skint as usual.

ive found some standard ones online here

http://www.japanese4x4spares.co.uk/suz-sj1.html

does anyone know what sort of quality they are or if they last?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T GET SPRINGS FROM JAPANESE4X4SPARES!

Well, the front ones are alright....I think. Don't touch the rear ones with a barge pole.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
