Good luck mate, are you going for a standard restoration or are they doing any mods? Can you get a bionic knee on the NHS yet?

Ouch!
You're going to be out of action for a while, but it will be better long term.
Good luck fella, I hope it all goes well.

Cheers guys! It's going to be kind of be modified, they take a bit of your Hamstring and graft it across where your ACL was No Bionics yet though
Yeah I'm prob not going to be back in the workshop for at least 5-6 weeks, might have to find something I can sit at my workbench and do before then though otherwise I'm going to die of boredom! Still got my ARB to build up so that's one job i can do sitting down

Will you have to upgrade your shelf to fit the ARBs?ScottieJ wrote:Yeah I'm prob not going to be back in the workshop for at least 5-6 weeks, might have to find something I can sit at my workbench and do before then though otherwise I'm going to die of boredom! I'm sure you'll have the positive attitude to get you through,
when I was in hospital I was speaking to a man in the bed next to me who had had his knee replaced, he had an epidural for the surgery and so was awake for it all, they put a curtain over his lower half whilst they did the op and he lay and listened to do music he had brought. He said all was going well until he saw a big saw being passed in! Then he said he was lieing there listening to his music, when he saw one foot above the curtain, then the other, they started dancing around and wiggling before disappearing, he told me he would have never managed to get his legs that high normally!

All the best for bud. As much as it's a ball ache, try to take the rest required to heal properly. Don't want you doing anything stupid and setting healing back.
