Mud Monsters 2014 *round 1 results*

Post by Matt » Mon Jan 06, 2014 5:24 pm

Hi guys just thought I'd share some of the upcoming mud monsters events with you, some more extreme than others:

Winch Challenges
Round 1 - 16th Feb - Slindon, Chichester, West Sussex.
Round 2 - 25th May - Tixover, Rutland.
Round 3 - 31st Aug - Mud Monsters, East Grinstead, West Sussex.

In case you guys are unsure a winch challenge is quite simply a set of punches set out around the site, you have a punch card attached to your vehicle and you need to get as many punches as possible.
We also aim to set out 1 or 2 “special stages”, these can be completed with or without your vehicle.
Vehicles are split into classes, from standard with one winch to super modified with three or four winches. We have four rounds per year, with prizes kindly donated by our sponsors.

Monster Race Series
Round 1 - 5/6th April - Yarwell, Cambridgeshire.
Round 2 - 5/6th July - Tixover, Rutland.
Round 3 - 27/28 Sept - Mud Monsters, West Sussex.

The monster challenge is a more extreme type of off roading, competitors have to complete as many laps of the 6km circuit within a set time period, having to do one special stage per lap, they must complete at least 17 of the 20 punches before repeating any of them, the team that completes the most special stages over the weekend will become the holder of the Monster Challenge Cup.

If you want just a normal fun day out, you can always come along to one of the monthly play days

TBA March
20th April
18th May
15th June
20th July
17th Aug
21st Sept
19th Oct
16th Nov

The site has all the essentials...burger bar, toilet etc.
