Steering Damper

Post by TomBod08 » Mon Feb 24, 2014 12:37 pm

I bought a Calmini Steering damper about 4 months ago and noticed it didn't fit where the old one does, it sits somewhere on the axle. Do aftermarket Dampers usually go there? Only just remembered that I have it sat in my garage. http://www.mountaingoatperformance.eu/c ... j-413.html < Thats the one I bought.

I think these kits are designed to fit as many different vehicles as possible, to maximise sales. As such, they don't fit in place of the standard damper because they won't physically fit - they're designed for Hilux's and L200's and Disco's and Fortraks etc - the bracket is the only bit that really changes.

That's how it *seems* to me, so I may be very, very wrong! ;)

I have the rough country dampner and it just bolts onto the axle and steering arms on U bolts.
