Free games on Steam

Post by Edweird » Tue Feb 18, 2014 6:08 pm

Hi folks,

I doubt this will mean much to most of you but there's some sort of sharing scheme going on, I guess to try and get more people using Steam. Basically, I get a point for every hit on this link

http://SteamGamesNetwork.com/?ref=3d02ec

If I get enough points, I get free games for my PC. Far as I can tell, there's no need for anyone to sign up to anything, just click. If anyone else is doing it, drop your link in this thread and I'll click it too.

The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Cheers folks. I'm up to nine points already. When I get to 15 I can get Command and Conquer 4 for free. :D

Clicked, but is this legit?

I don't think this site is actually anything to do with Valve - the domain registrar is totally different to steampowered.com.

For goodness sake, it's registered by a company called "Internet BS Corp"!!!!

Also, I tried opening it with 3 different browsers, and it gave me a different link each time - chrome gave me one account, firefox a different one, ie yet another.

This whole thing looks fishy to me. Really, really fishy.

I clicked on it and Malware Bytes blocked it for me. VERY fishy.
If it ticks over...leave it

That's all I was after.

A friend of mine got Command and Conquer 4 for free through it, so I was planning to do the same, that's all. I was skeptical at first too and I can appreciate why you guys thing it's suspicious.

Yeah, it wants me to go through several differnet surveys and downloads and shit. Fuck it. Even if Joe managed to get C&C4 from it, I don't want to risk it.
