That's what Halfords is for really. For most things, you pay the 'Halfords tax' for the convenience; when you need something NOW and it's four o'clock on a Sunday.dan_2k_uk wrote:Went there the other day when I really really needed some MIG wire quickly.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: Thanks Halfords
Last time I went to Halfords I bought a stereo. Waited (on a saturday) for 20 minutes in the only open check out. The girl there treated we like I was a 9 year old...never heard such sarcasm and thinly veiled insults. I was so stunned I called the manager out. Not sure what happened to the idiot but I have never gone back nor shall I. Staffed by zit faced morons and that includes the manager.
If it ticks over...leave it

I had a guy refuse to sell me some welding tips as i wasnt buying the wire as well and couldnt sell them incase they were the wrong ones i need. "i need the 0.9 tips", "are you sure? i cant really sell them without knowing what wire you're using", "ill go elsewhere."

This said, my local Halfords has a 30p coffee machine, that's worth stopping in for!
