Rear Light Problem

Post by Scouse Lee » Mon Feb 10, 2014 4:19 pm

Hi guys, I finally got round to putting my new rear lights on my SJ413 yesterday oly to find I have a problem, no reverse and no p/s side indicators, (front or back), although the hazards work on both sides.......bought the lights off a british seller on e-bay or amazon but I presume they came from abroad, (I've bought that much recently I'm not sure where I got these from haha, will have to dig the paperwork out). Can anyone give me a clue where to start with sorting the problem out?, my SJ is Japanese is there a possibility the lights would be wired for Spanish models?
Cheers

do the wiring colours match up at the plugs? if so, I would think it doesn't matter if it's spanish or jap.
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

The spanish lights will have a built in foglight on the drivers side, the jap lights have no fog light and a reverse light on both sides

On the standard spanish lights there is a shared earth bar across the bulb holders, the jap have individual earth wires to each bulb holder... but they could be different if they are aftermarket

If you are in a rush to get them sorted ignore the reversing light...it's not needed for an MOT.
If it ticks over...leave it
