Welcome to the club.
I've never heard of auto locking doors on a Grand Vitara.
Does yours have an after-market alarm fitted, as some of these can autolock.

It did have an alarm/ key fob thing, which I dont use. What happens is if you get in the car and start it all the doors lock after about 10/20 seconds. It nearly cought me out down the farm one night, I had just got back to the car, i opened the door and without getting in started it.I then walked away to get something when the door shut behind me and the car locked, fortunatly I had just dropped the drivers window down. Its a pain because when im out filling the feeders I have to stop the engine to use the key in the rear door as this also locks everytime i start the car.
Is it possable to remove the locking? Would this stop my problem?

I guess you could remove the fuse for the central locking and stick with manually operated.
You could then leave the rear door unlocked for when your out feeding.

On mine there is a switch to lock/unlock the doors on the drivers door. Mine is the 2005 model though and it has a different interior/facelift.

Well had a "google" and this should be the switch on yours.
No help with the auto locking, but you shouldn't need to keep taking the key out to open the rear door. :er:
