Right then been studying the workshop manual and it shows 2 diagrams. One for the early model and one for the later model.
I can't think why the later model would need/want 2 wires basically doing the same job !!
I was unsure what colour wire went to the terminal on the bolt but the black/green seems logical as the black/yellow has a diode inline.

Thanks for your help Darrell, I got a connector today and attached that wire as you've shown in diagram, it started fine. Thanks again
