Anyone know the rules on driving with no mot to an mot test station? Found mixed opinions online.

As long as car is insured and you have booked a mot (so police can verify with garage your actually going there for a certain time) your fine
Strictly speaking though police prob wouldn't be amused if your driving miles and miles to a mot station.. Within a couple of miles of home and it's fine
if in doubt, FLAT OUT!

lol if tom won't say it, I will!

good technique for if you need to move a car with no MOT or tax... book it in for an MOT past your intended destination, at a garage that you won't be using in future!!!
Tell them you might drop it off the night before, move the car, then cancel the MOT :P

I know its not exactly by the book but it got me out of a pickle when I had to get the no MOT no tax zook away from my old house!

It just happened to 'break down' outside your new house on the way to the MOT right?
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
