Hey dudemore948 wrote:The thats the one jordi any chance you can pm me a picture of it showing the damage please. Might as well ask anyone got the pipe that runs from the carb to the air box mine has been taped up?
Like this one:
The weber carb uses a different rubber pipe. Its longer than
I standard one as fitted to your one. The standard one requires some
Wrestling to make it fit and its a bit short.
Speak with a weber supplier and they should be able to get one.

Re: The Matt Black SJ Project.
well it seems i do have a weber with a a plenum adapter, after a quick call to a local weber dealer he has confirmed he can get the hose but i'm still unsure if it will fit the standard air box. I will have to take a few dimensions Saturday morning next time i lift the bonnet.

The more I think about it, I'm sure one if my SJs has a weber on it. I must check when I get home.

Re: The Matt Black SJ Project.
Right I have sourced the weber hose it isn't cheap at £41 but I want to make sure the standard air system is right before I do my snorkel.
What do most people do with the hot air feed when installing a snorkel? Jubilee clip it up with plenty of silicone?
Or take it off and blank it off?

If you mean the hot / cold flap on the air box I removed mine and put the snorkel onto that air box feed. If that makes sense.

Yer jordi, I understand. I'm using mine on the road a lot so might trying and keep it. As long as I seal it it should be ok.
