That spring is a bit bent, did you hit something hard with the shackle?

Bummer.
On the first pic, it looks like the shock might be toast too.

Nope was done whilst winching hard, Vertical over the top of a bank. They've lasted a long time these springs, I've run them all the time my trucks been built and Paul had them on his before that !!
So they've done really well.
Time for a new set
Shocks fine, it's on a pin at the top so it can move a lot. I was worried the axle bent, but I think the spring took the whole thing.
There's the Christmas drive round next weekend il try and have it fixed for that.

Re: Mikes Samurai build updated 17/05/13 :)
It was a mental climb, near vertical winching. Madness. It was going over the top which pushed down hard on the front, forcing the axle back. Missing links opened so the spring was forced backwards, resulting in this.
Managed to break a spoke on my steering wheel as well !!
What an expensive morning.
Springs are on order from devon, they couldn't say how long they would be. I am going to get all the bits together, fit them and repair the front end which I smashed also. Going to respray the chassis and under the wheel arches ect. Need to do this as I have it pressure washed up after every event, and it's taking its toll on it. Front bumper is going to be mucked about with as well, want to make it stronger than it is.
But it's clean now, I have a long list to be getting on with il keep you all updated

Right, springs will take 8 weeks to get here, my new hubs have gone from Utah, to east midlands (yes in the uk) back to Salt Lake City..... Wtf?! God knows, anyway there's a massive gathering this weekend at brothers common for the New Years drive round. I am going to warm the spring and straighten it in the morning, fuel pump seems fine now, think there's a wiring issue there. Screens staying in it for now, even though it's badly smashed, steering wheels being chemical metaled back together. I don't care as long as it turns.
Got a very large shopping list for the new year, need to earn some money !!
Fort hose of you who don't know I am going to run in mud monsters challenge series next year, should be a bit of fun, potentially may kill my suzuki though...... But those of you who know me I am not competitive, at all lol.
Il put some pics up of the spring in the morning, I managed to get the links to go the right way so now just need to bend it the right way. Oxy propane coming out
